The French-English Bilingual Loved Ones Corpus (FEBLOC)

FEBLOC includes the speech of 19 pairs of French-English bilinguals who maintained close personal relationships (e.g., couples, parent/child, siblings, friends, cousins).

Participants carried out three speech elicitation activities in private room: a structured activity (Bilingual Taboo), a semi-structured activity (Spot-the-difference: Baker & Hazan, 2011), and a spontaneous activity (Free discussion). The procedure for these activities is available for preview and cloning at: https://app.gorilla.sc/openmaterials/855709.

The recordings are manually transcribed using the CHAT protocol (MacWhinney, 2014). Identifying and/or sensitive information are omitted from the transcriptions and audio files.

The FEBLO-Corpus contains 1066 mins (17.8 hours) of speech.
